Squeal like a Hopper

Late August is hopper season in Western Montana. Our guides have been pillaging our hopper bins and the big foamies are flying out the door. The bobber gig is fading and finally we get to SEE the fish come up to chomp the fly. No mistaking a rock from a fish when you’re fishing on top as stones cannot swim. Both these fish took the hopper and one came from a piece of private water we at Angler’s West are lucky enough to romp around on with our guests.
