Yellowstone River: 3640 cfs
Mostly Cloudy with chance of showers this morning, clearing in the afternoon.  Temp high 40s to low 50s.  Wind: North-Northwest 5-10 mph.

Wow!  Quite the comeback from a week ago!  Last Monday this river was pretty much a write-off and without even a consideration.  Yeah, sure the Mother's Day Caddis had just started, but when this river is jacked to 8 grand, it's pretty much out of commission.  Least at this time of year. Ask us in two months if we're good with 8k and the answer will be a resounding "Heck Yeah!"  Posed with the question today if at sub-4 grand would we hesitate?  No way!  Look at that picture taken this morning at Carter's Bridge-  that's looking mighty fine...  Easy 3 feet of viz and for the first time in a week - look! Rocks!  We can actually see bottom....  Now if we can get that water temp back up just a bit... It's hovering in the mid-40s.  We are back to prime baetis and will get to March Brown like water again here hopefully fairly quickly.  Caddis?  A ways out again.  In the meantime get your junk in tight on the banks and strip it off.  Or possibly dead drift it "on the swing".

Looking ahead, things could prove interesting this week.
