| Yellowstone River |
So you missed last weekends great fishing, grumbled through the mud last week, and now you are ready to rumble! the Yelly HAS come around just this one more time and is giving us a parting shot at caddis. The recent cooler weather has significantly dropped the river and it's continuing its clearing trend even today. Caddis, baetis, and midges on the water BIG time today. Water is dark olive but has 16" or more visibility. And by that, I mean 4 or 5 feet off shore, I can see rocks 16 inches below the surface of the river. That's WAY fishable.
Report Flows: Real Time Stream Flows:
Corwin Springs, Livingston
Hatches: Midges, great baetis on the cloudy days. We're seeing enough caddis to start thinking the real deal is possibly close at hand. Fish are just starting to take notice and look for the pupa on the swing and a few dries.
