Runoff is in effect! After a heavy winter, the Yellowstone River is swelling more and more each day as spring runoff continues. Cottonwoods, bison, and everything else have been seen floating down the river as we reach historic flows. Flows out of Yellowstone National Park near Corwin Springs have been well above normal runoff averages, currently at 22,700 cfs, while the flows in Livingston have nearly reached record levels to date, currently 31,300 cfs, all time record in town is 38,000 cfs back in 1997. It is clear that this will be one of the biggest years in quite some time, when do you think that the river will peak?
