Henry Kasiske

Henry comes to Angler's West from Los Angeles, CA. Henry is a life long fisherman who has grown up spending his time fishing the eastern Sierras and the Owens river valley. He could also be found walking the concrete banks of the Los Angeles river in search of the biggest carp he could find. Henry completed guide school in the summer of 2016 with aspirations of working toward being in the middle seat of a drift boat. He looks forward to working with customers in the shop and learning from those around him to achieve his goal of becoming a guide.

John Soave

Born and raised in Ortonville, Michigan John became addicted to fishing at age four when he pulled his first bluegill through the ice on his grandfathers lake. His father and grandfather were huge influences throughout his fishing career and allowed him the opportunities to explore and fish the many rivers and lakes of Michigan. He learned the art of fly angling on the north branch of the Au Sable river near Lovells, MI. After graduating with a degree in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University he headed west to the Fly Fishing Mecca of the United States near the Yellowstone river. After working at Mountain Sky Guest Ranch for five seasons John decided to pursue his passion for fly fishing by joining the Angler's West team. If you can't find him in the shop he is probably out searching for his new favorite fishing spot.
Marya Spoja Photo

Marya Spoja

Marya grew up trying to catch minnows with her hands and in general running around causing trouble on her family’s ranch over in Lewistown, MT a short two-hour drive from Livingston. It wasn’t until graduating from college and moving to Livingston that she discovered the joys and frustrations of fly-fishing, which has now fully taken over her life for many years now. For the last 8 years she has been helping fly fishermen explore the region we call home. We're fortunate to have her as part of the Angler's West team both in the shop and on the water!  In the summer, when not at the fly shop or guiding, you’ll find Marya somewhere outdoors- either finding new places to fish or returning to some of her favorite fishing spots. If it’s the winter, good luck trying to find her-she’s dogsledding or backcountry skiing somewhere most days of the week.
