Sam Rogers

Having been born and raised in Montana, and to a family with a fly shop, to say that Sam has been exposed to the world of fly fishing his whole life is a bit of an understatement. Sam has fly fishing and fly tying experience well beyond his years, and has traveled to fish in most of the West, Midwest, as well as Belize, and the Bahamas. Sam has also spent some time with Team USA Youth competitive fly fishing. His love for the sport as well as most everything outdoors shows in his enthusiasm for working with guests. He is always willing to talk about the outdoors. Sam is completing his Freshman year at St. Lawrence University in upstate New York and is looking forward being back in southwest Montana for the summer to guide, work in the flyshop, and fish the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.

Gardner Imhoff

Gardner was born and raised adventuring in the Northern California redwood forests. At thirteen he left the West Coast to attend Eaglebrook School in Massachusetts where he got his first taste of fly fishing. After Eaglebrook, Gardner spent three years at the Westminster School where he played high school lacrosse. He then was accepted to St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY to play NCAA Div III lacrosse. While attending St. Lawrence, Gardner was fortunate to not only receive a great education, make it to the NCAA Div III semifinals, but also spent quality time in the Adirondack outdoors and help run the SLU's Hunting and Fishing Club. Gardner is now a full time resident in Montana, chasing fish when and wherever he can and spends his winter skiing whenever the snow is falling. He has spent time pursuing a variety of piscine species across the U.S., Mexico, and in Chilean Patagonia. In addition to working in the shop, he is also one of our staff guides. Gardner is a very personable young man and a great addition to our team.

Thomas Moore

Growing up hunting and fishing North Carolina’s coastal plains, Thomas had long dreamed of venturing West. When he received his acceptance letter from Montana State University, his dreams were fulfilled. After being exposed to the fly fishing, hunting, and skiing Montana has to offer, Thomas fell in love with the western lifestyle. Last summer, Thomas lived and worked on the Missouri river at the Trout Shop before transferring school back closer to his family at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.He knew, however, that every summer should be spent chasing trout and vowed to return to Montana. In the shop or on the water, he is sure to display his knowledge of equipment, light-hearted personality, and conscientiousness. We welcome Thomas to the team and know that he will fit right in.
