Angler’s West COVID-19 Update: May 20th, 2020
We are pleased to share that as of June 1st, 2020, the state of Montana will be entering Phase 2 of the COVID-19 Reopening Plan. Montana State Governor Steve Bullock announced yesterday, Tuesday, May 19th, 2020, that the state would be transitioning from Phase 1 into Phase 2 at the beginning of next month.
Here is what to expect once the state enters Phase 2 on June 1st:
– 14-day quarantine for those traveling from out of state will be lifted
– Bars, restaurants, casinos, and breweries will be able to operate at 75% capacity
– Gatherings of up to 50 people will be allowed
– Yellowstone National Park’s West Entrance will open
– A plan to open the Gardiner, MT North Entrance is still underway
– Montana National Guard will still be authorized to conduct temperature and COVID-19 symptom checks for those entering the state via air and ground.
What do these changes mean for Angler’s West? We are in full support of Gov. Bullock’s plan to enter Phase 2 of the Reopening Plan and will continue to operate with the utmost caution. Following June 1st, we will be providing guided trips for non-resident anglers without a 14-day quarantine. We will also allow non-resident clients into the shop without a 14-day quarantine. Per Gov. Bullock, we want those visiting from out of state to still follow proper social distancing guidelines and those regulations mandated by the states they are visiting from. According to the Governor, there is a public health plan being developed to continue to look after the safety and wellbeing of our local communities as we begin allowing out of state travel. We are extremely excited to welcome clients from outside our borders but also would like to respectively ask them to act in accordance to their home state travel restrictions and quarantine guidelines. Guide trips will be able to continue as normal, with certain changes to our policies in order to ensure the safety of our guides and anglers. We will still operate with our “Sanitation-Station” at the entrance to our shop and ask that clients continue to wear masks if they have them when visiting the shop and sanitizing properly. As much as we look forward to your business, the safety of our guides, shop staff, local community, and resident and non-resident clients is the most important to us.
We will continue to update our website and social media platforms as we receive more information regarding the transition to Phase 2. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any question or concerns following this announcement.
Be healthy, be hopeful.
