Yellowstone River Fishing Report for August 18, 2917

A good week on the Stone shaping up. Upper valley dry fly activity has been good to excellent with a lot of quality fish looking up for a meal. Terrestrial bugs are definitely the show stoppers and will likely continue to be for at least the next several weeks. As August slips to September, we’ll be watching for the weather changes that will signal that fall is inbound. Until then, however, you can expect to see days on the water with good opportunities. Make sure that you are on your game when that big brown finds your hopper irresistibly tasty
