Yellowstone Park Opener yesterday. Good fishing on the classic Park areas to be expected. Firehole, Gibbon, and Madison are the zones to focus on. The NE Corner is way off color and very high waters due to runoff. The NW Corner with the aforementioned Firehole, Gibbon, and Madison are in much better shape. Though not perfect, the waters are high here too, they are at least fishable. First day reports of a few caddis and PMDs on the Firehole had some rods bent. Madison fished well as seen by the photo above. Madison was almost entirely sub surface to find the fish willing. Gibbon pulled into 3 position with still high water, but still a few fish active.
